Our Story

Word Alive Church and Communion House was formed by a passionate group of individuals God brought together to fulfill the genuine purpose for the ministry of Jesus Christ in their own lives.   These individuals made a commitment to having God’s Word be alive in them daily, thus the name “Word Alive Church”.   A people who allow God’s Word to live on the inside of them and be demonstrated to the world.   With no permanent or common location for worship, the church often gathers in homes, similar to the early churches in the book of Acts. Jesus said, “For where two or three gather together as my followers, I am there among them.”   Another focus of the ministry is to commune with God and each other no matter what common location is used, thus the name “Communion House”.   Any location used by us to commune with God and each other is called the Communion House.

The first message of mission God gave us was “to go deeper”.   Deeper was a challenge to go beyond the traditional surfaces of ministry, getting to know God better, and doing the things He wants us to do.   God called us to go deeper in the study of His Word, deeper in our service to Christ, deeper in our faith, deeper in our personal relationship with Him, deeper in our relationships with each other, and deeper in our finances to support the ministry of Jesus.  We understand that God’s Word is made known by us when we love and serve the way Christ demonstrated, and growing deeper in our relationship with Him, when we serve Him according to Matthew 25:40.

We don’t know where God is taking this ministry.  However, we are a group of believers on a journey with Him displaying genuine faith. We have been on an amazing ride this first year!  God is building this ministry on the foundation of His Word, and not on any denominations, traditions, racial cultures, or earthly family backgrounds.  We trust the leading of the Holy Spirit for the divine direction of our ministry, with an aim for operating in a Spirit of Excellence.  Our prayer is that God will lead others to help us in this work of ministry, and we believe people will come from the north, south, east, and west.
